Im wondering if anyones tried rifling micro darts for accuracy and range. Given that the final force behind these darts isnt great, and its very likely that adding spiraled grooves to the darts or barrel would do nothing but add more friction. I do think though that in a larger gun like the crossbow (which i dont own), such a modification could really do something. Also, All these lengthened barrel mods are good, but require lots of materials, im wondering instead of lengthening barrels, could you just shorten the darts lengthwise for a similar ratio between barrel and dart length. Please let me know anything on the topic

To answer your question about rifling, I really don't have any information. I would try nerfhaven.com for that. As far as shortening darts, it would work to some extent. Shorter darts are less accurate though.

Thanks for the input, I shortened a few stock micros and tried them out in my nf (modded w/o air restrictions and little guiding pin in barrel). The shorter darts shot at almost double the regular stock darts range, im guessing peaking at around 60-70 ft. 2/3 normal dart length worked best, cause anything shorter than that would start rolling on top of itself really messing up the accuracy and range. Has anyone tried making half inch diameter foam balls (rough width of a micro) to make some sort of air musket. I think that could work, and rifling something like that would be far easier...

A musket like ammo would suffer from the same problem a real musket gun suffers from. Horrible accuracy.
